Congratulations on completing your construction project! Now, it’s time to give your property a thorough post-construction clean. Follow this checklist to ensure every area is cleaned to perfection.
Be sure to keep garbage bags handy to discard debris and other rubbish. Wear protective gear such as a mask, goggles (when cleaning higher surfaces), and rubber gloves. Cover your skin with full-length clothing to prevent contact with chemicals and debris.
Things You’ll Need:
Scrub brushes (handheld and long-handled options)
Scrubbers and sponges
Vacuum cleaner
Broom + dustpan
Rags
Dust cloths
Heavy-duty mop
Squeegee

Floor cleaner
Bathroom cleaners (floor, bathtub, and toilet)

Remove dust from ceilings and walls.

Wipe down fittings and fixtures.
Clean the floor.

Scrub backsplash tiles.
Vacuum/sweep the floor.
Mop the floor.
Clean from top to bottom.
Clean the floor in four steps: vacuum, mop, sweep, mop again.
Allow cleaners to stand to break down buildup.

Clean one room at a time.
Get rid of rubbish first to clear your workspace.
Use a trolley to store cleaners/tools for easy access.
Clean then disinfect surfaces to ensure sterility.
