What services don't you offer?
While we don't typically offer services such as wet wiping of light bulbs, resurfacing/waxing/refinishing of floors, putting away dishes, large furniture moving, excessive mold removal, extensive ceiling cleaning, removing permanent stains from timber, marble, or other sensitive surfaces, large-scale rubbish removal, and excessive cleaning of outside areas, we're open to compromise upon request for suitable circumstances. Feel free to discuss your specific needs with us, and we'll do our best to accommodate them!
Referrals & non solicitation
At Spruce Cleaning Services, both cleaners and clients are bound by our terms and conditions. A significant amount of effort at Spruce Cleaning Services goes into sourcing the best cleaners for our clients. This involves rigorous background checks. As part of our service agreement, both cleaners and clients agree not to independently hire any past or present Spruce Cleaning Services independent cleaners unless they pay our referral fee of $10,000. This fee is due in full immediately upon hiring the cleaner personally, regardless of whether they are used for recurring or one-time service.
Are you insured?
Yes, we are fully insured with comprehensive liability insurance, including general liability insurance and workers' compensation insurance, providing coverage for both property damage and bodily injury liabilities.
How long will it take to clean my house?
It all depends on the condition of your home. However, as a baseline, for a general clean aimed at maintaining the upkeep of your home, we typically allocate the number of bedrooms you have as hours with one cleaner, or as half hours if we send a team of two.
For example, if you have 3 bedrooms, we would allocate 3 hours with one cleaner or 1.5 hours with a team of two.
How many people will come to clean my house?
A team of 2 people is our standard, but sometimes an extra team member can join when needed for larger jobs. However, for small jobs such as studio, 1-bedroom, or touch-up jobs, we typically send a single-person team. If we are sending only one cleaner for your booking, we will inform you upon booking.
Late cancellation fees
We require 24 hours' notice for cancellations without incurring a fee. Our cleaning teams put great effort into scheduling, and cancellations within 24 hours of service result in lost work for them.
Cancellations at the door without any prior notice will incur a full-price cancellation fee.
